Gemstones ​ABA Center's business owner, Donna Kuni, has over 20+ years experience and knowledge in the fields related to Behavior Analysis,
We believe that therapeutic services for those diagnosed with Autism could be and should be focused on progress. By Giving Everyone More Support (GEMS), from staff to clients to parents, more high-quality service and better outcomes are possible. Company values are based on dedication and devotion to the autism community.

When I'm able to seen growth with my clients communication skills through the use of their verbal words as well as with their gestures (ASL). My most memorable moment in ABA is watching one of my clients being able to apply his DTT rest room sequences into a natural setting!!

A very memorable moment for me in ABA is when I was working with a child who has struggles with sharing. He was standing next to a peer who was playing with a toy and said "my turn" to them. I had never heard him ask for a turn from a peer before and it made me like what we do for and teach the kids is truly worthwhile.

Seeing two of our clients play a tag and slide down couch cushions on a friday afternoon with zero prompts. They genuinely enjoyed playing together and it made me tear up because they both have play goals but this exceeded the goal.

One of my favorite moments in ABA was with one of my clients who needed a lot of support in peer interactions. This was something we were working a lot on. Sharing in particular was really hard for him. We were at the playground one day and he initiated playing with a peer. He shared and played with this peer with no support from me. Seeing him have fun and engage with this peer appropriately was so exciting!

Donna K., BCBA, NCLBA
Clinic Director
Donna has over 15 years of experience working as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. Donna holds a Master in Special Education from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from East Stroudsburg University. Donna is a registered Autism Specialist and received her Applied Behavior Analysis Certificate from Pennsylvania State University. Donna will be providing ABA therapeutic treatment and care with dedication and devotion focusing on Giving Everyone More Support (GEMS).
